Totally Edible Cookbook

How brilliant and beautiful is this?  From a German design company, Korefe,  comes this designed cookbook called “The Real Cookbook.”  The instructions/recipe is embedded right on the lasagna pasta noodles!  It almost looks like letterpress work.  When it bakes it crisps up and looks wonderfully golden brown as well.  I stumbled upon this via DenyDesigns.  Not only does it make me want to cook, but it makes me want to create designs for breads, pastas, cookies, pancakes, and everything that will let me print/stamp on it!

Instagram Weekend Roundup

Well another weekend has passed and sadly Monday has started. So rather than focus on the bad of the Monday lets focus on the good of the weekend.

It seemed nice and clear out when we left for dinner!

Friday, we got soaked on our bike ride home.

Marley just wanted to sleep all weekend.

We made a giant German pancake to ward off the rainy blues.

It was so rainy and cold that our poorly insulated LA windows fogged right over.

Marley couldn’t get enough attention

We celebrated St. Patty’s day by cooking corned beef, cabbage and potatoes.

We started a wedding project that involved an entire bolt of burlap.

Instagram Weekend Roundup

I use Instagram a lot. Its not that I don’t appreciate taking a real camera places but my phone’s always with me and instagram photo’s are just fun. So below is a roundup of our weekend via Instagram.

Every Friday we pretty much go to the same place. We hit up this great French restaurant. Its not to far from where we live so this past Friday we grabbed a bottle of wine and biked down there.

Things like being able to bike to your favorite restaurant makes expansive LA seem much smaller.

Saturday Morning was spent lounging in bed. We had a wedding food tasting at 11 so we just relaxed until we had to get up. It was so nice!

We spent Saturday night at World Market picking up a new rug and some home stuff. I’m so excited the weather was chilly enough to wear my favorite army jacket.

Sunday we hit up Apple Pan for a late lunch.

I personally think its the best burger shop in LA. They have plaid wallpaper, give you silver cups for your soda, mile high apple pies and only two options for your burger – bbq or regular.

Its my kind of place for sure.
